~WORKSHOP FULL~
Join us May 28th from 5:30-7:30 at the shop for a special workshop taught by community herbalist Doe Ermoloffsky!
More info below:
The holiday of Shavuot is a celebration to honor the first harvests of spring and to conclude the 49 day mystical practice of “counting the omer”, a ritual of meditating on each of the divine elements of Life. This powerful culmination of energy involves traditions of studying in community all night and also eating cheese. In the spirit of this time I summon all Jewish folk interested in connecting with their roots and fellow community to join me for a workshop on Jewish Magic & Herbalism. We’ll explore the history of Jewish magic, our lineage as healers, and learn about various herbs, plants, and trees whose histories and experiences are bound with ours. We’ll also have space to connect in community and discuss rituals to preserve this ancestral wisdom.
You are welcome to bring sacred objects for an altar we will build together.
Tea provided by A Thousand Leaves, bring your own mug if you can!
Where: A Thousand Leaves herb shop
When: May 28th 5:30-7:30pm

** This workshop is a space for Jewish folk only. But all Jews are welcome, including converts, patrilineal, and non-practicing Jews or folks distant from their Jewish roots and have a desire to reconnect with their lineage.
